Sadly, Judy Bagwell Does Not Make the Monday Nitro Masterlist
The second edition of the WCW Monday Nitro MASTERLIST sees Rey Mysterio and Eddie Guerrero make a play for the top slot. There is nothing more important than t-shirts.

Sadly, today’s youth don’t believe in pirating the hell out of cool things like VHS rips of WCW Monday Nitro, so my torrent has stalled out at 33%. This wouldn’t be a problem — I am willing to brave the wilds of bilibili if it means not giving WWE a dime, but the 11/16/98 episode is, of course, the only one missing from the playlist. So, while I wait, the MONDAY NITRO MASTERLIST takes a slight detour to November 9, 1998.
Turns out, it’s a big Nitro! Michael Buffer is here! Hulk Hogan is pretending to run for president! “Judge” Judy Bagwell comes out to the ring strapped up as one half of the WCW Tag Team Champions. There’s also a couple of legitimately great matches on this one, some fun squashes, and the rare occasion where Konnan sells for another wrestler. The nice person who uploaded the whole year to Billibilli also has the special Tuesday Nitro up, so I’ll cover it too. Why not?
NEXT WEEK: The 288-sided die takes us to the middle of 1999, as Episode 196 of WCW Monday Nitro airs from the Louisiana Superdome. Years before the venue plays host to Daniel Bryan’s WrestleMania XXX triumph, it will see Kidman vs. Psychosis, Meng vs. Lenny Lane, Eddie Guerrero vs. Juventud Guerrera, The Cat vs. Prince Iaukea, Booker T vs. Kanyon, Ric Flair & Roddy Piper vs. Buff Bagwell & Dean Malenko, DDP & Kanyon vs. Konnan & Rey Mysterio Jr., and Sting vs. Sid Vicious. Some of the stars are here! Kanyon is working twice! Looks promising but I’m pretty sure there’s a reason why I stopped watching wrestling in 1999 and didn’t come back until I rented WWF No Mercy one weekend.
